What the consultancy is, and is not
MMW Europe Ltd is a private consultancy and not a law firm. It handles administrative matters concerning Italian citizenship, Italian civil status, translation and legalisation of documents, and it does not carry out reserved legal activities within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007. It is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. It does not give advice on immigration to the United Kingdom, which is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority, and the information on this site about visas concerns entry to Italy under Italian law. It does not act before the Italian courts, and where a case requires a judge the client instructs a lawyer in Italy.
The information on this site
The pages of this site describe Italian law and administrative practice as they stand at the date shown on each page, in general terms, for readers in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. They are not advice on any individual case, and a position which the pages describe as open or closed may be different for a particular family, which is why we begin with a written assessment. We revise the pages when the law or the practice changes, and we date each revision. We are not responsible for the content of the external sites to which the pages link.
